Who we are
Dirt work, done right the first time
Webster's General Contracting LLC is an excavation contractor based on South Childs Road in Kearneysville, West Virginia. We handle the work that happens before anything gets built and after something comes down — digging, grading, septic systems, underground utilities, land clearing, site prep and demolition.
Most of what we do is for people who live here. A homeowner whose drain field finally gave out. A family putting a pole barn on the back acre. A builder who needs a pad cut and stoned before the framing crew shows up Monday. We also take on commercial site work, but the residential jobs are the ones that built this business.
Our goal is simple: deliver solid work, show up when we say we will, and leave every customer satisfied. That's not a slogan we workshopped — in a county this size, it's just how you stay in business.

What you can count on

The number is the number
We walk the site, look at access and soil, and put the price in writing. If something underground changes the scope, you hear about it before we keep digging — not on the invoice.

We show up
You get a start date you can plan around and you'll know who's coming. If weather or a permit pushes things, we call you. Silence is the worst thing a contractor can do to you.

Licensed, insured and legal
We carry the licensing and insurance this work requires, and we run our own trucks under USDOT 3971104. Utility locates get called before the bucket goes in the ground, every time.

The site looks finished
Final grade, ruts filled, tracks off the driveway, seed and straw where you want it. Hauling debris off is part of the job, not a line item we spring on you.
Equipment
The right machine for the job
We run excavators, loaders, skid steers and dozers, along with our own dump trucks for hauling material in and spoil out. Having the fleet in-house means we're not waiting on a rental yard or subbing out the haul-off, which is usually what turns a three-day job into a three-week one.
It also means we can size the equipment to the work. A drainage fix in a finished backyard doesn't need a full-size excavator tearing up your lawn, and two acres of brush doesn't need a skid steer nibbling at it all week.
